Here's where to start looking for tricks, gags, pranks
and a variety of ways to make others feel foolish.

Blame it on Pope Gregory.
You'll recall that he's the guy who fiddled with the calendar and moved
everything to where it is now. Take New Year's Day. It used to be celebrated on
April 1. It seems that some folks were out of town when Pope Gregory's new
calendar announcement came out. When they celebrated New Year's Day that April,
people laughed at them, calling them "April Fools." Don't believe it, you
could look it up.
Now that we've cleared up that matter, let's get to the real problem at hand.
How are we going to concoct a prank that sure to take in the least gullible of
our friends? The folks at C-Net, that venerable computer news site have
identified the top 10
tricks for digital pranksters.
If your tastes run to something definitely G-rated, we'll recommend these 13
family pranks. Tending toward the other end of the ratings spectrum, check
out the Pranksta's
Paradise. It's run by a seemingly gentle soul, dedicated to good humor as
opposed to pain and suffering. There's also a collection of online
practical jokes worth considering. At this site you'll find links to a
variety of tricks and gags.
Perhaps you just want to send an

Fool's Day card. The selection here is fun, but make sparing use of the
virus alert with anyone who is particularly jittery.
If your tastes tend toward gag
